Sean Feucht – My Thoughts
Firstly let me say that I am not a fan of Sean’s and had heard of him but never really looked into him too much. I am going to put my thoughts down as best I can and it will be the last thing I say about him and his Ministry.
I am not a fan of the people he associates with. Ie Bethel and NAR. I don’t work in that realm anymore and they have issues of their own that they haven’t dealt with.
I will deal with the arguments against him and his Ministry.
1. He is a MAGA supporter or a bigger laugh he is a “MAGA Singer”
His politics have nothing to do with anything. What if I said – you are a Liberal supporter so I want to cancel you? Maybe in Canada we should take more pride in our Country and make Canada Greater again.
He is a Christian Musician and I believe his heart is in the right place (although again I don’t agree with him theologically)
2. He speaks hate speech!
Most of the people saying this nonsense have never actually watched any of his videos to see what he actually says.
My question is who defines hate speech? YOU – the Government.
If he disagrees with the LGBTQ+ lifestyle because our Bible and Scripture says it is not compatible with what God would want is that hate speech or freedom of the religion he preaches.
While we have others in Canada running around calling for the destruction of Israel and death to Jewish people, I think that what Sean would be saying would be more in love.
3. He was harassing a moose on the road.
I saw the video. The moose was running ahead of the bus on the side of the road and could have jumped into the bush at anytime. Not sure why it didn’t but I saw none of that at all.
4. He has allegations against him by 5 Former employees (some of the allegations)
I am not sure what to make of this. He has a board, attorneys, lawyers and I will let them figure that out. I saw a couple of the allegations which are easily refuted even by myself as a layman.
Former employees speak volumes but I will wait for any investigations before further comment.
5. Affair with Lauren Boebert
This one is funny. They are friends, they both deny it, she knows his wife and they have prayed together so I will leave that there. Sean has threatened legal action against anyone perpetrating this
6 . Pro-Life
Yes Sean is a Conservative. He doesn’t like abortion. There are many of us out here who don’t for various reasons. Not unusual for a Christian and no it isn’t about hating women.
In the end I don’t accept censorship. If you don’t want to go hear his concert – Don’t but don’t stop those Christians that do from enjoying themselves.
Mill Lake would have been an awesome place to hold this. It is central and many could have heard the Gospel. Unfortunately, our short-sighted local Government disagrees.
If you were there and you heard the music or the message there was nothing to stop you from walking away.
Here in Abbotsford BC the City has chosen to pull permits from Mill Lake Park. They new what he wanted to do but caved in to the backlash.
There are many Churches here and I am sure one of them will step forward
I don’t believe in censorship and this is a slippery slope. How about Christians or Conservatives decide to lobby to cancel rappers we don’t like, musicians, speakers.
This could get ugly.
Like I said I have theological differences with Sean but I respect that he is doing things that others are not doing and calling for revival in Canada.
